Prof. Enrico Mezzetti
Prof. Mezzetti graduated in Law from “La Sapienza” University of Rome in 1986 with honors. He helds scholarships from Italy’s National Research Council and the German Foreign Ministry at the Max Planck Institut in Freiburg amd the University of Heidelburg from 1990-1994. He holds a PhD in criminal law and procedure from “La Sapienza” University of Rome and is currently full professor of Criminal Law and of Business Criminal Law at “Roma Tre” University. He teaches criminal law for various master’s degrees and postgraduate legal courses at “Roma Tre” University and LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. He also teaches anti-mafia legislation at the Carabinieri Officers School in Rome. He was a member of ministerial commissions and is an expert in organizational models of entities, and in criminal labor and business criminal law. With regard to these fields, he has been a consultant for Studio Vassalli Olivo e Associati since 2011. He was a member of the exam board for the national Judiciary exam, and of the bar exam at the Court of Appeals of Rome. He is also a member of the Permanent Anti-Money Laundering Observatory at “Roma Tre” University, as well as of the ministerial commission for the study of challenges in the prison system. He directed the “Officina di Diritto Penale Tributario” postgraduate course in criminal tax law organized by the “Ezio Vanoni” School of Higher Learning in Economics and Finance under the Ministry of Economy and Finance and “Roma Tre” University. He also directed various legal journals and has published around 150 works ranging from textbooks, monographs, treatises, commentaries, articles, and case notes on criminal law.
